From our Founder, Michelle:
After a failed attempt last year, I am so thrilled to be bringing Cherry Red to life in 2024. To me, the romance of red is in the way it brings you confidence. This vibrant hue embodies passion and power in whoever wears it.
A celebration of love, not just for others, but more importantly for oneself and our individual beauty routines.
As we unveil this limited edition range, I invite you to discover the power of Cherry Red and the way you want to be seen with it. I hope you love it as much as I do.
The launch of Cherry Red also fell in conjunction with a minor brand + social refresh and we wanted this shoot to act as a reset for our Instagram feed. Can you tell?
For this campaign, we took an editorial approach - channeling red stockings, heels, ballet flats and of course, red nails. Shot on two backdrops: red and white.
Here are some of my favourite images:
]]>If you're anything like us, you can't go to many places without your Airwrap or Supersonic. Yes, that's the chokehold that the Dyson hair tools has on us these days. Unecessary overshare: It took me a while to nail the perfect loose and casual waves from the Airwrap but now that it's done (which BTW, always cops compliments), I can't go anywhere without mine.
Dyson does everything pretty damn well: The look of the tools, the feel of the equipment, not to mention the functionality. However, the one gripe I've got with the Airwrap is the travel case. I also own the Supersonic but that didn't even come with a storage option (rude!).
Traveling with the default Airwrap case is challenging: It's bulky, it's rigid and doesn't allow for much flexibility, and you can't fit anything else into it. Whilst we're a little embarrassed by how long this took us to try out, let me be the first to tell you, there is a way better way to travel with your Dyson tools. And it looks like this:
For the Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer, we'd recommend the Large Twin Cosmetic Case. The Hair Dryer has a bulkier head and odd-shaped attachments so it won't fit into any of our cases with dividers (like the one we recommended for the Airwrap).
The Twin Cosmetic Case is durable, lightweight and you can trust that your Dyson tools will remain safe and protected during its travels. The case also features our new stain-proof lining so any potential makeup stains can easily wipe off.
The ETOILE brand offers a variety of travel cases to fit your needs, but for the Dyson Airwrap, the ETOILE Medium Cosmetic Travel Case is the perfect option. This case is specifically designed to fit the Airwrap and all its attachments securely. With its durable and lightweight construction, you can trust that your Airwrap will remain safe and protected during your travels.
Need something for both your Supersonic and Airwrap? The Large Twin Cosmetic Case is the solution! As it's a 2-in-1 case, it can fit both Dyson tools. Or, for the trips when you're traveling light, unzip the cases completely and take what you need.
Questions on what case to pick up for your Dyson, GHD, Shark or other hair tools? Get in touch via our live chat or email (support@etoilecollective.com.au).
]]>If you've just opened your bathroom drawers and come across your ETOILE clear cases looking a little cloudy, don't be alarmed! The appearance of a cloudy gaze or fuzziness is a natural side effect of using biodegradable TPU and fortunately, easy to remove.
But firstly, why does this happen? This can be due to a buildup of dirt, oil, and other residues on the surface of the bag. We recommend keeping your clear makeup bags in another room outside of the bathroom where there may be excess moisture in the air. But don't worry! In this blog post, we'll show you how to clean your makeup bag with biodegradable TPU and restore its clarity.
To keep your biodegradable TPU makeup bag looking its best, here are a few tips:
Clean your makeup bag regularly, especially if you use it every day.
Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners on your makeup bag, as these can damage the surface.
Store your makeup bag in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
Keep your makeup bag away from sharp objects, as these can scratch or puncture the surface.
If your makeup bag gets wet, dry it immediately with a clean cloth to prevent water damage.
You will need:
Instructions:
OR, if you want a quicker solution, we recommend using a plastic cleaning solution like this.
In conclusion, cleaning your makeup bag with biodegradable TPU is a straightforward process that can help you restore its clarity and keep it looking great for years to come.

Height of bottom row: 8.5cm
Width of divider tray: 25.5cm
Height of divider tray: 6.3cm
Recommended for: Personal use to store makeup.
Not recommended for: Not suitable if you want to store just your skincare. Due to the odd-shaped size of skincare, we find that a lot of space can be wasted when storing tubs / creams. We would recommend our Duo Vanity Case as a skincare bag.
Height of top row: 14.5cm
Height of bottom row: 8.5cm
Width of divider tray: 35cm
Height of divider tray: 6.3cm
Recommended for: Personal use to store a mix of makeup, skincare, haircare or body care. Also great for makeup artists / hair stylists.
Height of top row: 16cm
Height of bottom row: 10cm
Width of divider tray: 39cm
Height of divider tray: 7.2cm
Recommended for: Makeup artists, hair stylists, nail technicians. Or, if you are planning to use this as at-home storage (eg. kept underneath your bathroom bench).
Not recommend for: Personal use when travelling. This case is BIG! And usually much larger than one would expect so please review the dimensions carefully.
]]>I am heading over to wintery New York City for a month, and being that it’s the first time I’ve travelled in three years... I’m feeling a little rusty. But thankfully for the Etoile Medium Divider Travel Case, at least I know I won’t be stressed about packing my makeup!
The sleek, black vegan leather with monogrammed initials, really tugs on my aesthetic heartstrings. But what stands out to me the most about the case is the compartments! I have had old makeup bags which are large, but without the separation, it’s an absolute pain to have to dig through the bag every time I’m trying to find something. I end up making such a mess and it takes me much longer to get ready. Worst!
With the Etoile case, you can even customise the compartments; so, if you’d like a larger slot for your complexion or eyeshadow products, but only need a small space for your lipsticks- you can switch around the slats so everything fits in effortlessly. It has been an absolute lifesaver!
I like to travel with ample options, but I’m also aware that I’m going to be doing a lot of (read as: A LOT!) shopping while I’m in New York, so I’m only filling up the case halfway, but it still allows me to bring 1 or 2 products in each makeup category without struggling to zip it up.
All in all, this is the beauty lover’s accessory that I never knew I needed! Even when I’m not on to go, I find myself laying out all my current makeup faves in rotation on my vanity which makes the getting ready process so much easier.

First of all, the case itself is GORGEOUS, monogrammed and functional – it’s tall enough to fit my serums and foundations standing upright and the compartments are flexible which mould to the shape of my products. The case includes a mirror – an obvious necessity, a top compartment to store my lashes and eyeshadows as well as a space to organise make up brushes. My previous make up bags have always had a way of getting dirty, no matter how hard I’ve tried to keep them clean! The wipeable compartments in my Duo Vanity Case spell the end of the constant foundation stains and fingerprints, it’s really all in the details.
Summer glam for me always starts with juicy, hydrated skin! I always have hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, vitamin c and lactic acid at the ready – the perfect ingredient cocktail for plump skin. Always follow up with SPF to protect and defend while the ingredients prep the skin really well for makeup application. Lately loving:
My signature getaway make up look is all about the perfected glowing base, a good lash moment and glossy lips. We can’t forget about body - I like to keep a body highlighter on deck for my arms, decolletage and legs! Lately loving:
As for extra bits and pieces, I typically prefer neatly kept hair off my face, more often than not a bun or pony with slick edges. I love the Olaplex No.7 Oil for that added hydration and shine and the Aveda Control Paste to keep my baby hair in order. I’m big on fragrance as well and I’ve been loving Tom Ford’s Bitter Peach, such a gorg luxe scent. Playful and sexy yet sophisticated, the fruitiness gives off tropical vibes while the woody notes help to ground it. Smells like an absolute daydream!

You: are a makeup beginner. You don’t own a huge amount of makeup and you’re not fussed about buying every new product launch. You allocate 10 minutes or less to your makeup on a regular day. You have a group of makeup that you love and use all the time and you want a flexible bag you can just throw everything in. Your dream bag would be stylish, yet durable and functional, with little compartments inside and zips on the outside to help you find your go-to favourites easily.
Your match: Jet Setter Travel Case $70
https://www.etoilecollective.com.au/products/jet-setter-travel-case-nude
A soft, flexible store-it-all case. Folds down for easy access to your products with 2 exterior side pockets and a carry handle on either side.
This is the one I would gift to most of my friends because I have seen the state of their current cases (lol). And although they just need something quick and easy for their everyday products because they aren’t makeup collectors like me, I would feel much better knowing they were using this instead of a something scattered in old eyeshadow they got as a gift with purchase five years ago. You can take the Jet Setter Travel Case with you everywhere!
This could fit: 1 primer, 2 foundations, 2 eyeshadow palettes, 2 single eyeshadows, 2 bronzers, 5 blushes, 3 highlighters, 2 concealers, 2 mascaras, 6 eye and lip pencils, 1 brow gel, 4 lip products, 1 setting spray
You: like pretty things and want a chic storage case to display on your vanity. You have lots of makeup products in many shapes and sizes, so you need flexible dividers and zips to store them. You want to be able to pick your case colour and monogram your initials onto it.
Your match: Duo Vanity Case $100
https://www.etoilecollective.com.au/products/duo-vanity-case-grey
A two-compartment structured vanity case with an in-built flexible divider insert. Includes a compact fold-out mirror.
This is my personal favourite. I mean, just look how much makeup I could fit in this case and how big the mirror is?! I love my Duo Vanity Case as a statement piece to leave at home.
Given its ability to hold so much, this one does take up quite a bit of room in your suitcase, so opt for this if you're someone who likes to pack all their beauty and even toiletries together. And due to the height of the case, it’s the perfect option if you have bottles of serums or foundations that you want to stand up to avoid any spillage.
This could fit: 3 primers, 4 foundations, 4 eyeshadow palettes, 4 single eyeshadows, 4 bronzers, 10 blushes, 3 highlighters, 2 concealers, 2 mascaras, 6 eye and lip pencils, 2 brow gels, 11 lip products, 1 setting spray
You: just want a case you can throw your products in and leave in your bathroom. It needs to be easy to clean and easy to find your products inside. Sometimes you might have makeup in here, sometimes skincare, whatever the case you just need something to hold your necessities. It needs to be cute yet sturdy.
Your match: Clear Makeup Travel Case $60
https://www.etoilecollective.com.au/products/clear-makeup-travel-case-blush
I have to say this case is amazing and fits even more product than you might expect. The zip compartment on the bottom easily lets you divide up any products you need to keep separate. I use it for eyeshadow palettes because they are big and get in the way in the main space of the case. You can also monogram this and because it’s clear it’s great to travel with and appropriate for your carry on luggage.
This could fit: 1 primer, 2 foundations, 2 eyeshadow palettes, 2 single eyeshadows, 2 bronzers, 5 blushes, 3 highlighters, 2 concealers, 2 mascaras, 6 eye and lip pencils, 1 brow gel, 4 lip products, 1 setting spray
You: have lots of makeup, and you need to store and transport makeup palettes and foundations which take up lots of room. You like to see what’s inside your case without digging through everything and making a mess. You like to have the ability to customise the dividers.
Your match: Large clear cosmetic divider case $90
https://www.etoilecollective.com.au/products/large-clear-cosmetic-divider-case-blush
The easiest way to stay organised on the go. Customisable, removable dividers to lay your collection, your way.
This is by far the widest and shallowest storage case, which I really enjoy because it makes it so easy to separate the products out into category dividers so you can see what you are working with. A fabulous option for the organised makeup lover in your life that likes to see their products at all times.
This could fit: 3 primers, 4 foundations, 4 eyeshadow palettes, 4 single eyeshadows, 4 bronzers, 10 blushes, 3 highlighters, 2 concealers, 2 mascaras, 6 eye and lip pencils, 2 brow gels, 11 lip products, 1 setting spray
You: are a professional makeup artist who has to travel with makeup products all the time.
Your match: Large Cosmetic Travel Case $90
https://www.etoilecollective.com.au/products/large-cosmetic-travel-case-black
Give your kit the ultimate treatment by travelling with ÉTOILE. Keep products safe, and organised.
This one is for a makeup professional. Made with a custom Etoile super-grip top handle and removable shoulder strap, the back band is made to slide onto suitcase handles. The mai zip compartment has removable dividers, the lid holds the brushes and the second compartment has another 4 zip pockets. This holds more than any of the other cases mentioned.
This could fit: so many products to make a full makeup artist kit and you can arrange it for however many products you need like 3 primers, 6 foundations, 10 eyeshadow palettes, 20 single eyeshadows, 4 bronzers, 10 blushes, 3 highlighters, 2 concealers, 2 mascaras, 6 eye and lip pencils, 2 brow gels, 11 lip products, 1 setting spray, and a makeup brush set.
I hope these reviews and photos help you to find your perfect beauty case!

]]>Christopher Esber, St Agni and Manning Cartell are just some of the Australian designers that graced this year’s fashion week, but it wasn’t just the clothes that drew attention this year, it was the attendees.
Not too far away from the show, GHD set up an impeccable styling suite which proved to be the go-to place to touch up your mane before hitting the show at Sydney’s Carriageworks. It was also the home of an epic lineup of our very own Crystal Full Length Mirrors, brightening up the space and creating perfect mirror-selfie moments for all those who were lucky enough to enter! The suite was filled with hair experts and their trusted GHD hair tools in hand, ready to tame the mane of those who popped in for a treatment.
GHD’s creative artist/ Queen of hair, Natalie Anne is part of this year’s backstage team, and did not disappoint with her bold transformations – turning Martha’s original bob into a long, flowing ponytail with slicked back flapper-esque sides and Sammy Robinson’s already gorgeous locks into textured mermaid waves.
The GHD styling suite was also visited by some smaller influencers, and we don’t mean by follower count… Sister duo and kidfluencers Mia and Tatiana, (AKA @MiaXTati) exited the suite with their matching runway ready looks, and GHD styled hairstyles – slicked back buns – ready to take on Australian Fashion Week!
While the suite saw lots of foot traffic with beauties entering and exiting all week long, it was the permanent residents that we think deserve a bit of attention! 4 of our very own Crystal Full-Length Vanity Mirrors were lined up against large panel windows, forming centre-stage at GHD's styling suite. With a crystal encased LED edge illuminating the show-stopping hairstyles, it proved to be the perfect selfie moment.
Want to transform your own beauty nook or studio salon to mimic GHD's styling suite? You can find out more about our Crystal Full-Length mirror here!
]]>But dang! With so many styles, so many options, so many features, how on earth can you make a decision and receive your mirror before the next weekend? So we’re here to spill the best of the best makeup vanity mirror ideas in line with 2021 trends. And because we are the queen (if we can say so ourselves) of beauty room inspiration, we promise we know a thing or two in this space!
So, let’s start with 5 makeup vanity ideas that’ll pair well with your room and give your beauty routine the functional glow-up it needs.
These makeup mirrors feature large bulbs around the frame of the mirror and emulate natural lighting with a bright, cool light. Whilst there are a huge selection of hollywood mirrors, here are some important factors to watch out for:
Some mirrors also have a crystal encased frame to add an extra level of glam to your space. The addition of crystals adds a glamorous touch, without being over the top. Perfect for all those out there who prefer an understated look.
This crystal mirror still produces the same amount of brightness as the exposed bulbs from a lumen perspective - so, if you prefer the more chic look, you won’t have to compromise on functionality.
The lighting on this mirror works well with natural lighting, but don’t fear if your house doesn’t give you this pleasure, this mirror performs just as well without it. In either situation, you will be left with a beautiful natural glow.
If you’re looking for a fun craft project, why not build your own vanity mirror with colours to match your interior! Read about it here.
All you’ll need is some insulating foam from your local hardware store and some acrylic paint in your fave colour (if you want to spice it up a bit).
This is the ultimate mirror if you’re hoping to up your funky selfie game, while sticking to your budget! Plus, when people ask where you got that fun mirror from, you’ll get a kick out of telling them it was a [successful] DIY project.
When illuminated, the neon tubes within the mirror transform the white opaline acrylic shell into a stunning multi-pink display - hello pink selfie moment! Truly iconic with an equally mindblowing price tag (A$16,043) - yikes!
This is not your average mirror, with complexity in its structure that it even wears a warning sign, as it may be “perceived slightly differently, depending on the light, the type of picture, or the background and the surrounding environment”.
This mirror goes against the grain of most interior design styles in every way and we are here for it! It arches, curves, is shaped, neon, and has colour that will brighten your home and your mind - the ultimate cheer-me-up piece of art, with the functional element of being a mirror.
This one may be a ‘pop me on your vision board for the year 2030 and manifest it into your dream home’, but that doesn’t mean we won’t obsess over this ‘till then!
By wall mounting your mirror, this will transform your space, by making it appear bigger and less cluttered than before. By removing the mirror’s base, this simple change will really elevate the room and make it feel extra-luxe.
Both our Crystal Mirrors and Hollywood Mirrors come with a wall mounting kit and instructions to match on how to do so, making this much easier than it looks to set up!
While it may not be bright pink or DIY-able, it delivers in every other way possible.
If you’re after a statement piece to add to your home or studio, this is it. Perfect for showing off your OOTD, charging your phone, plugging in your hair dryer, with the added feature of being dimmable to set the mood - what doesn’t it do?
This list has something for everyone, or, for every room of your home. If you’re not sure which vanity mirror is for you, or will suit your needs, check out the compare feature on the Etoile website to get clarification on attributes and details that are specific to YOU!
So, what are you waiting for? This is your sign to spice up your space with our top vanity mirror ideas and top products!
]]>First things first.
A makeup chair is one of the more underrated inclusions in your vanity room or space - just as important as your table or mirror (but it doesn’t get as much attention!). This is the seat that either you, or your client, or your best friend will find themselves sitting on for extended periods of time, so it is important to make sure you’ve chosen the best one to suit your space, and your needs.
Vanity chairs come in a range of sizes, heights, and shapes - tall, short, some with backrests, others with footrests etc. It’s just about figuring out your needs and purchasing accordingly, and this is what we’re here to help with!
Sure you can have makeshift chairs - grab a dining chair, sit on a suitcase, you may even be able to sit on a pile of clothes. But purposefully selecting a vanity chair for your getting-ready space, one that is comfortable to sit on and easy on the eye can be the finishing piece to your space. And if you haven’t already heard, our philosophy is that the space around you, including your process to getting ready and unready for the day, is crucial to ensuring you get greater enjoyment from your favourite activities.
When deciding how tall your chair should be, there are two things to take into consideration; your space, and the purpose of your vanity chair.
For a vanity table with a mirror placed on top, we recommend choosing a chair with a seat height of approximately 40-50cm, this way your legs will have ample space under the table for ultimate comfort when applying your makeup.
If you require a chair for applying makeup to client’s faces, generally done with the artist standing directly in front, we recommend a directors chair with the seat height ranging from approximately 70-75 cm.
We have received feedback from makeup artist customers that this is the perfect range to ensure that clients are sitting comfortably, with their faces sitting just a bit below yours, but not too short/tall enough that the MUA is craning their neck to apply makeup -
a must when you’re already feeling the discomfort on your feet all day!
With our range of tall makeup chairs, we’ve also ensured that the seat is extra deep and extra wide to ensure comfort for all clients.
Based on the factors above, the style of chair is suited to different purposes. The vanity chairs that will be placed under vanity tables are most compatible with beauty gurus, and makeup lovers who are looking for the perfect chair to use in their beauty nook!
Meanwhile, our director style chairs are popular amongst artists working out of a salon, and our new range of styles are sure to suit your space!
This can vary significantly across different styles, sizes and types of chairs. As we mentioned, a vanity chair is a super important part of your space, and if chosen wisely, can prove to be an investment, becoming a permanent fixture in your space for years to come.
To ensure that your chair lasts a lifetime, optimal levels of durability, comfort and quality are a must, and these are reflected in the price of your chair. Depending on the size/ material used, we recommend paying between $150 and $400, as any lower than this may mean you’re compromising on quality and therefore, comfort and safety of you and your clients.
The best way to choose a makeup chair is to evaluate your needs, wants and desires with regard to aesthetic, height and functionality factors. Lucky for you, we have a range of styles to suit each and every need, and we have you covered for the more boring stuff… durability, ergonomics and quality, so you can tick those off the list! We leave you here with the fun part.
So...
We just couldn’t find a chair that had it all – style, functionality AND durability – but now we’ve found them (made them, more like!), and we are so excited to share. So we’re here to tell you that after much work and development, these beauties are ready to begin their rightful journey home to you, and we cannot wait to see them brightening and lifting your spaces, just as they have ours!
2020 was the year of cancellations and postponements, and our event was no exception... but damn did the 2021 aftermath go off with a bang after being a year in the making. We were delighted to see the finer details come to life and tying the event together seamlessly: Everything from the jaw-dropping floral installations by @prettylittlepinkbook that filled the room, to the ultra delish (COVID-19 friendly) grazing boats, to the sticker decals created by @lizedesigns. We are in awe of all the creatives and it's thanks to them that the much anticipated event went off without a hitch.
With The Blow providing beautiful locks, Benefit Cosmetics on the brows and Etoile with the Bloody Good Lighting, we made the ultimate dream team. We had fabulous ladies filling the room one-by-one, making their way from the hairdressing chair where they were pampered with fresh wavy locks, to a seat with Benefit’s National Brow Artist - ready to go with their tweezers, and finally to the best lit corner in town (courtesy of us, duh!) And boy did it make for a perfect photo opportunity.
What was on show that night?
And no word of a lie, at every corner we heard, "Okay the lighting is actually so good".
]]>
Because yes! We've totally designed the beauty drawers of our dreams and damn are they fulfilling all our aesthetic and organisation fantasies. We combined all the solutions to the issues that previous drawers caused (*ahem, we’re looking at the drawers that only open halfway*), and pleased to bring you our Ava 5-Drawer Vanity Unit.
If you're new here, hello (and welcome). We were born back in 2016 because we thought the process of getting ready sucked. To paint the picture: It involved running between your bedroom, bathroom and handbags to find products, we were constantly misplacing and losing product, and our getting ready space was everything but organised. So as much as we are beauty enthusiasts, we're also practicality-plus-efficiency enthusiasts.
With these drawers, we're promising you the quintessential addition to your beauty space if you’re looking to get your collection mega organised and in the one place. Or two if your collection is big enough to fill them.
Our top 4 perks about these drawers? Let's deep-dive.
We know your time is precious, we left time-wasters in 2020 too 😉
This is why we ensured the Ava-Drawers arrive completely pre-assembled - put the tool kit away because no screw-drivers, knobs and what-do-you-call-thems are required. Phew.
That means that you can get straight to business, organising and arranging your makeup and beauty items to ensure they’re sitting pretty and ready to be used. AKA: Save time from not having to stare at 15-odd panels wondering all the way through assembly whether you're even doing it right. Then, save even more time because you won't have to rummage through your bazillion homes for beauty products - it's all in your drawers! Double win. Hurrah!
The only thing worse than wasted time is wasted space and potential, so the Ava drawers have you covered here too. For us, including full-extension drawers was an open shut case. We know the frustrations of drawers that only open halfway all too well = Wasted space PLUS, precious products being forgotten about.
The Ava drawers extend all the way out, giving you full access to your collection. Save the sighs because you're not going to need to bend your arm in ways it shouldn’t to get your primer you just spotted.
Oh baby, you're going to love the back of these drawers as much as the front.
We told you these drawers would fulfil all your organisation fantasies, and that’s why we’ve gone the extra mile and made custom fit stretch-the-whole-way-to-the-back dividers for the Ava drawers. *swoon*
All of our 52cm Drawer Dividers are compatible with the Ava drawers, allowing you to fully customise the acrylic strips to create unique layouts that suit your collection and organisation needs.
If you can’t decide which dividers you’ll need, we’ve done it for you, and you can get the perfect blend in our Alex 5-Drawer Super Kit - just be sure to select the 52cm length options.
As we mentioned earlier, we are beauty enthusiasts at the end of the day, and with the territory comes an appreciation for the finer things. First came practicality and then came pretty.
The white gloss finish and refined carved panelled detailing will add a touch of elegance to your beauty space, perfectly balanced by the dainty faux crystal handles.
Soooooo, look, we could go on for days with reasons the Ava drawers will satisfy every aesthetic and organisation need you could ever have, but we’ve capped it at the main and most important four.
These drawers are purpose-made to fill the gaps we’ve found over the years, so we are confident that they will provide the same ease, convenience and joy every time you enter your beauty space.
In conclusion: 😍 + A billion drool emoji's that would look odd in this blog post so here's three 🤤🤤🤤
]]>Bringing this to life has certainly had it's challenges. From researching a machine and waiting for it to be custom made, to looking for an expert monogrammer who knew how to operate it in all its glory - because we certainly didn't (hey Cindy 👋), to then be hit by COVID which meant we couldn't shoot our campaign in Melbourne.
No stress, we thought 💁 We'll just have the whole shoot done remotely from Sydney.
Come shoot day, we were very apprehensive. At home (in Melbourne), twiddling our thumbs, waiting for BTS shots and *praying* it would turn out okay.
It looked a little something like this and safe to say, we think they are more than okay.
They're cute, equally functional and would love to be in your bathroom. Extra perks include:
That's it! We hope you love the range as much as we enjoyed designing it.

]]>We know the feeling of getting ready in a rush, leaving lipsticks uncapped and palettes and compacts open, all too well. And whilst we have a large array of makeup organisers for your vanity table or on-the-go solutions, we thought we would turn to our brilliant community. After chatting to a few dozen makeup lovers and beauty influencers, we found patterns in the best ways to stay organised. Here’s what we discovered:
Dubbed "my fave new gadget" by skinfluencer Roj herself: our very own Skincare Holder!
If your current setup means you've got product hidden behind one another in a 30cm deep drawer and reaching for one at the back means you've got to knock over the front line-up, then this product was designed for you!
This two-tier Skincare Holder will change your skincare and getting-ready game. With a simple 360 degree spin, you’ll have access to all your products, all visible and easy to reach - saving you time usually spent digging in drawers, and precious space!
Made of thick lucite acrylic with a 5cm high barrier on both levels, your products are going to love it's new home.
Is it just us? Or does Rowi’s jaw-dropping collection and striking setup make you also want to get organised, like, now?
Storage units sell us the dream: “Get organised!” “Keep things off your table and in your drawers!” What they don’t mention is how quickly things can turn south. Sooner than we’d like (and we’re sure someone reading this can relate!), we open our drawers to utter chaos. Lids have fallen off, products that we always use have crept to the back and forgotten about. Compacts are stacked upon more compacts. Oh, there’s random eyelashes floating around too!
Incoming: Acrylic Makeup Storage Dividers 🦸 Your next best friend if you’re facing one or all aforementioned issues.
Best of all? Our custom-made dividers fit like a glove in the notorious IKEA Alex Drawers, with removable internal dividers that’ll create any sized compartment you’re after. From foundation, to blush or your single eyeshadows, there is a divider or tray to fit them in, preventing that drawer explosion and confusion you might be facing. 🤯
Rowi Singh shows how easily you can slip these dividers into the IKEA Alex Drawers, making it super easy to organise all of your makeup, as well as facing it the right way so the shade name is the first thing you read. Outcome: you can now make your makeup routine feel like a breeze even when you are spoilt for choice. Plus, there’s no denying, these filled drawers with dividers are #oddlysatisfying.

Do you store your brushes in a brush belt and waste your time opening that belt, while pulling out brushes you need and then putting them back in again? It’s not ideal and it’s even a headache to think about.
This is such an easy step of storing your brushes if you’re still wanting that added protection but without the hassle. So, if you’re after makeup brush storage ideas, Dee from Sydney Style Blogger shows us her solution: a brush holder with a lid. Who would’ve thought?
It’s also not just about protecting your beautiful tools, the dust and germ particles in the air of your home (even if we can't exactly see it) fall directly onto the bristles of our brushes. Leading to those same particles getting trapped into our skin and pores. Yeah, it’s not pretty and our skin totally deserves better, right?!

Now, we’re all loud and proud about our shelfie game, but what about the bottom of our bathroom cabinets? It’s easy to get lazy about our bathroom cabinets, considering how awkwardly sized the cabinets can be in comparison to our small beauty products.
Ayshe, a professional organiser uses the transparent 5 tier-drawer beauty box. They are such an easy makeup storage idea for these kinds of spaces. They will spice up your bathroom cabinet just enough to help you organise all your daily beauty + skincare needs, as well as make it look more enticing!

When putting products back onto our shelves, whether it be in the bedroom or bathroom, we tend to stack products on the top of each other and we hate to admit it, but we leave some of our products at the very back to forever be forgotten about. This leads to product wastage, and even a lack of fulfilment when you go to your shelf and it’s not being beautifully organised. Thankfully, makeup storage ideas for small spaces like our shelves are a great solution.
You want to be able to walk into the space you do your beauty regime in to be inspirational and beautiful, that way you can get the best out of your routine. Something as simple as a multiple tier acrylic organisers can save the day. That way, all those products that you have worked hard for and once wanted to have so badly, can finally have their time to shine, yay!

Any beauty guru or makeup artist can only wish that they can bring their entire makeup collection onto a plane, to then sit next to them on the beach for their next holiday. Reality is, we don’t want to be dragging around our 10 different toiletries bags that only fit a hand full of products in each one!
A lesson learned early on: Condense! Condense! Condense!
Cassandra Lusi, Aussie Hair & Makeup Artist, is always traveling for clients across the globe (what a dream!) and shows us how a travel case with dividers that keeps everything organised is the ultimate makeup storage idea.
The star of the show in these travel cases are the zip pockets and removable dividers. They allow you to really compact those delicate powders or glass bottles so they’re not flying around and waiting for a disaster to happen. Plus they come in small, medium or large, depending on how many things you need to pack for your next getaway.

Working on a bride on her wedding day or being on set at a photoshoot can be as stressful as it sounds. You can be as organised as you think with your travel kit makeup bag but the thing is, these jobs are often making you get on your feet and running from one spot to another!
This is why something like a shoulder strap bag that has customisable acrylic inserts exists. A place where you can pop your must-haves that are constantly on the go, as well as those little nifty products like an eyelash glue or a cotton tip, that are often misplaced on set from carrying too many tools in your hand from one side of a room to another. These bags are a no-brainer and truly are a makeup storage hack.

I rarely even turn the TV on, but isolation made me do it! I am watching Money Heist on Netflix right now. Music, however is always on and I am loving Rhye & Tame Impala at the moment!
My most favourite look is clean, glowing skin paired with fluffy, natural brows and a strong eye.
I don’t have any least favourite looks as I always do makeup that is on-brand to my aesthetic!
Probably when they turn up to have their makeup done, wearing a full face of makeup as they didn’t want to leave the house without it! Sometimes it’s unavoidable if they have come straight from work etc. but other times I have had clients come in for a 6 am makeup appointment, wearing makeup! It just cuts into our makeup session time when I have to remove it.
Hmmm I have racked up a lot of flying miles over the last few years but in terms of favourite destinations, I would have to say New York. I did two trips to NYC last year, one for just three nights and back to Australia again for The Makeup Show NYC, the other for a Masterclass tour of my own where I was in the USA for a month, skipping our Aussie winter at the same time haha!
ESMI Skin Minerals – Skin Shield, Natural Face Sunscreen
During this isolation period I don’t think I have looked after my skin more in my life! I have been doing many a Quarro-Facial using the ESMI Skin Minerals Booster Masks & other products in their range.
Most definitely when I was invited to Lithuania to present a masterclass to 1500 people. I was so nervous, but so proud that I got through it despite the nerves.
Besides bushy brushed up brows it would have to be the cat eye liner – where the inner corner meets at a sharp V turning the eye into an extreme almond shape.
I’m quite simple with my regime. I cleanse and moisturise – mask perhaps 3 times per week and sunscreen every morning from my face down to my décolletage.
Exciting times!
I am going to say within the next couple of months you will be able to purchase… purchase what you say?! Well, the cat’s out of the bag… Eyeliner, a liquid one at that. I didn’t want to drop an entire range, but more so cult products one by one that are on brand for me and part of my signature look, not only on my clients but on myself. I am known for my wing liner and you will often catch me sporting one, so a Liner seemed an obvious product to launch. Watch this space & be sure to follow @miaconnorcosmetics on the gram to stay in the loop!

I had an interest with makeup in my teen years but after school worked in administration. I finally took the leap and studied at The Academy of Makeup and worked for MAC Cosmetics.
This transition was a little hard at first. I learnt a lot working at MAC and loved the people I worked with. It’s obviously attractive to work for yourself and I had a passion to work in wedding and the entertainment industry.

{WHAT} Beauty Editor for Woman's Day, OK! NW, Take 5 Australia and Beautyheaven.com.au
{WHERE} @elisebeautyeditor
At the moment I’m obsessing over folk music during the day! There’s something about the husky voices of Ray Lamontagne and The Teskey Brothers that sets the mood for the day and makes me so happy. I would love to say I’m reading lots in this time, but I’m just not, because I have no time (weirdly). But for Netflix, I’ve just finished Ozark season three and it was brilliant, now I’m on to Tiger King. I think I’m late to the party on that one, but I watch Netflix about one or two times a week for a very short time. I’m not a huge TV person.
I’d have to say it was the moment I scored the job as health and beauty editor for Woman’s Day Australia 2.5 years ago. It was the next big leap in my career and meant I had to move countries (from New Zealand) and embark on a whole new adventure for one of the biggest titles out there. After not even a year I was promoted to beauty editor for all four weekly titles at Bauer (OK! Woman’s Day, NW and Take 5), and that was pretty special.
Oh that’s easy.
1. A cream blush! I use mine every single day on my cheeks and lips and it’s just one products that makes you look alive and glowing. I barely use foundation so this buffs into my skin and I always get compliments. My fave is RMS beauty’s Lip2Cheek in Demure, but now I need to invest in ALL the colours!
2. Hair Oil – I rotate about three at the moment, but once you find a hair oil that works for you, stick with it! One of my faces is from OGX and honestly costs $21 and lasts a life time. I have fine hair but find a light oil really hydrates and I can leave my hair to air dry or smooth with my dryer for a gloss, hydrated finish – without weighing it down.
3. Moisturiser with SPF – Who has time (or the budget) for lots of extra skincare steps? I make sure my moisturiser contains a high SPF protection so I never forget. The one I’ve stuck with for years is Ultraceuticals Mattifying moisturiser, because I have combination skin.
I’m addicted to spin, circuit and pilates classes, so I was gutted when my gym had to close recently. Now, while WFH, I’ve been doing some great little toning class on my BBFIT app (by Bailey Brown) and five days a week doing rounds of the HUGE stairs at the park near my house followed by arm and floor work – it’s a killer, but it’s doing the trick.
Well I’ve always had an extensive skincare and beauty routine (perks of the job), but I have most definitely jumped on the face mask bandwagon. I love multi-masking about two or three times a week depending on what my skin needs. But I’ve also been maintaining lots more hair masking and always do my Thursday fake tan ready for the weekend. My friends think I’m crazy but I don’t care. A tan makes me feel a million bucks and it’s part of my self-care routine, always.
I have been a freelance hair & makeup artist since I was 19, so I would definitely have a business doing that solely. Now that treatments like lip and brow tattooing are huge, I’d would definitely train in that too – it’s so fascinating to me and the artistry behind it is such a skill.
Oooh wow, that’s hard. I’d have to say Rimmel London! Honestly, they have the best makeup products ever and I always find myself circling back to them and recommending them to others. I should start getting commission!

Money Heist! If you haven’t watched it, you need to! I was losing sleep over it. if you’ve watched it you would understand!
Yes, there is, I’ve been really lucky to travel for my job. I went to San Francisco with Benefit for the launch of the Karla Brow. I also went to Paris with Sephora Collection and I went to Milan for fashion week with Pat McGrath and Sephora. These have been really amazing trips that I keep really close to my heart. They inspire me to keep working really hard! There’s actually vlogs on them on my Youtube Channel.
One that is an absolute must-have is an Etoile Ring Light, honestly, I would not film or take any makeup photos without my Ring Light.
I actually don’t know what we did before them, but this one in particular just diffuses the light so softly and blurs the skin a little as well, it’s not harsh on the face
There are a couple I can't work without, but i have to say when I'm doing makeup, I have about 20 small little fluffy blending brushes. I think I could do a face with it, that’s how much I love them. Maybe I’ll challenge myself to do a full face with one.
I’ve had a couple, but I would probably say standing backstage at the Versace show was really amazing with Pat McGrath. Also, when the Karla Brow launched nationwide. That was really exciting for me, I cried!
I have a few inspirations, but I would probably say that number one on the list is Sofia Loren
No, I didn't always want to be a makeup artist. I was actually studying criminal justice and psychology and did a makeup artist course on the side because i had no idea how to do makeup! One thing led to another, and here I am!
I’m going to say baking or cooking. I find it really therapeutic to be in the kitchen, I love that

Most likely any one or a combination of: pilates, swimming in the ocean, learning to surf, cooking/preserving, eating, pottering in the garden and taking photos of any new leaves/buds, or trawling local op shops for fun vintage finds!
Oh goodness, they’ve come a long way in that time. I went through a phase about 10 years ago of liking them really defined, shapely and tinting them super dark! They needed so much attention I don’t know how I kept up with them. I’m now all about full, effortless and low maintenance fluffy brows. I just tint and tidy them every 4-6 weeks.

Phoebe really needs no introduction, but we’ll provide you one anyways if you haven’t had the pleasure of speaking or stalking her or her beautiful salon, The Blow Australia. Phoebe’s career in marketing has taken her to the US, London, Singapore and was the Marketing Director for Benefit Australia before founding The Blow in September 2018.
Last month on March 18, Phoebe made the incredibly tough decision to temporarily close her salon before it was government-mandated to protect her community, guests and team.

I’ve been listening to a lot more music at the moment, it really helps me focus and stay positive and motivated. I’m a big podcast nut and am really enjoying Brene Brown’s new series Unlocking Us, she talked to Glennon Doyle on women unlocking our wild, untamed bravery and it shook me to my core. I’ve also loved being transported with Desert Island Discs and have gone way back into the archives for some excellent storytelling. Reading: the First Stone by Helen Garner, Beauty by Bri Lee and The Most Of Nora Ephron. Watching: everything. Very happy to have Homeland back. Unorthodox is great, as is Mindhunters, then the usual binge of The Office, Parks and Rec, Seinfeld etc to keep me company.
I have been very fortunate to travel all around the world when I was with LVMH based in London first and then Singapore. I spent a lot of time in Paris, New York and San Francisco and when I was based in Asia I got to open markets for Benefit Cosmetics in Indonesia, Thailand and India. All very challenging and brilliant in their own ways.
When I was working for Nude Skincare in London, we were acquired by LVMH, under the tutelage of Parfums Christian Dior. This was exciting because it really elevated the brand and there was so much learning, experience and resources at our disposal, but it also came with the expectation that we would level up. I was young so all I could do was take the opportunity with all the grit and gusto that I could: I kept my eyes and ears open, learnt to be strategic and that the DNA and storytelling is key to bringing meaning and purpose to a brand.
That’s like choosing a child! My ride or die is The Mane Event because it adds polish to any occasion, has a lot of body and movement and immediately makes me feel like I can conquer my day with confidence. The Glitterati is my party go to, it’s effortless and fun.
I’ve been lucky to work for a lot of powerful women who have championed me and taught me valuable lessons, most particularly in communicating effectively and leading decisively. I’ve always been drawn to strong women and learnt a lot from the stories of Anita Roddick who founded The Body Shop and Jean and Jane Ford who founded Benefit, all striking iconoclasts who shook up the beauty industry and forged their own path.
Drinking with friends. Hitting the coast for a big refreshing ocean swim. Going to the movies by myself. Doing yoga. Long runs. Reading.
Confident. Positive. Direct.
Your twenties are about figuring stuff out, nothing is going to feel exactly right yet so just relax into it and start loving who you are. And don’t waste time or energy wanting to be skinny. Be comfortable with your mind and heart and the rest will follow.
Or, if WFH to you means that you’re pursuing your Youtube career, or practising your makeup looks, then this beauty may be better suited sitting pretty on the adjustable tripod with your phone attached and ready to hit record. Get it, girl.

Moisturise your whole body! Put a face mask on! An eye mask! A hair mask! A bum mask! File your nails and put some polish on them! Have a bath, with epsom salts!
Do it all, and more.

So. If browsing our makeup mirrors has left you like this, then this bible is for you.
1. Size? Are you restricted by size in that a vanity mirror must be less than 1m long? If so, head to section A below.
2. Style? If you're 100% wedded to the bulb look, head to section B below.
3. Features? If all you have ever dreamed of is a vanity mirror with power ports, head to section C below.
Our vanity mirrors are available in 6 sizes. Narrow your choice down by eliminating what won't fit in your space.
Our Hollywood SLIMLINE Vanity Mirror Tall is available with or without a feature pack that includes 2x USB ports and Bluetooth speakers.
Our Crystal PRO Vanity Mirror Tall will keep you connected with its oh-so-many features. Think power ports, USB ports, tri-tone temperatures and in-built speakers.
Our Hollywood SLIMLINE Vanity Mirror is available with or without a feature pack that includes 2x USB ports and Bluetooth speakers.
Our Crystal PRO Vanity Mirror is a no-brainer. Encased in a beautiful crystal LED frame, this is Australia's brightest crystal mirror.
Our largest panorama serves as a statement piece in your home or salon. Here, we have 4 options. Our Hollywood SLIMLINE XL range (with or without feature pack), our Hollywood PRO XL or Hollywood Classic XL mirror.
Hollywood SLIMLINE XL with or without feature pack
To help you narrow down your choice between these 4 XL models, we suggest thinking about:
If you're after a full-length piece, this one's easy! Are you after the Hollywood bulb look or the modern crystal LED frame?
Hollywood Full-Length Vanity Mirror
Crystal Full-Length Vanity Mirror
Can't get that old-school Hollywood bulb look out of your head? Or are you after a modern LED vanity mirror?
Chosen a style? Yay! You're one step closer to finding your perfect vanity mirror.
Next, we would recommend filtering by size or features. Head up to Section A if you know you want our biggest size or are wedded to a portrait one. OR head down to Section C if you desperately want one with in-built speakers.
Don't worry, you're almost there.
Our vanity mirrors come with a range of features: USB ports, Power ports, Tri-tone temperature (cool/warm/neutral), XL Bulbs, Magnetic magnifying mirror and in-built Bluetooth speakers.
Whilst every combination isn't available (heck, we would need A LOT more mirrors for that), here are the combinations that we do have:
Crystal Full-Length Vanity Mirror
Hollywood Full-Length Vanity Mirror
Hollywood Classic XL Vanity Mirror
SLIMLINE Vanity Mirror with Feature Pack
SLIMLINE Vanity Mirror Tall with Feature Pack
SLIMLINE XL Vanity Mirror with Feature Pack
Hollywood PRO XL Vanity Mirror
We hope so.
If you haven't and have additional burning questions, please live chat or email us at support@etoilecollective.com.au.
1. Warranty?
Of course. Our Hollywood Mirror Classic XL Vanity Mirror includes a 1-year limited warranty. All other models have an extended 3-year limited warranty. And yes, this includes bulbs too.
2. What if my mirror breaks during transit?
We'd never leave you out to dry. If anything comes broken, damaged, not working as expected, we'll get a replacement to you and also take on all shipping costs involved. DW though, we invest in thick cardboard packaging, high quality and environmentally friend EPE foam and steel corner protectors to prevent anything from happening in the first place.
3. Where has the Crystal Classic Vanity Mirror gone?
Discontinued. Whilst this piece was beautiful, our customer's feedback has deemed this light insufficient for makeup application when it was the only light available. Watch this space.
4. Am I getting #THEREALDEAL with you guys?
There's only one way to find out. But we'll tell you this: we have and never will cut corners on quality in order to bring you cheap, low-cost mirrors. We appreciate that these are electrical goods and have invested in the highest quality raw materials so that they last.
You've heard our mantra? Made with love, designed with precision and built to last. No, it's not just a marketing slogan. We really really mean it.
This means the face of our mirrors are more resistant to any chemicals it can come in contact with and less likely to cause rust / black marks on the edges due to oxidisation.
This means that we have included the correct-voltage drivers within all our mirrors so that they are not overpowering when in use.
Yes, this means you're getting The Real Deal. ✌️
Lots of love always,

]]>Today, Professional Makeup Artist and Australian Beauty Influencer Jasmine Hand shows us how she optimises and packs her kit (and takes us on a tour of her beautiful salon!)
Can’t get enough of Jasmine Hand? Watch how she packed her kit in 2018 and how its changed in one year:
In case you missed it, we’ve condensed Jaz’s latest video into 5 key takeaways for any freelance makeup artist.
Firstly, make sure your kit can fit within the carry-on baggage restrictions. For most Australian airlines, this is a maximum of 56cm high. Secondly, you want a kit that is as light as possible given the further weight restrictions. Imagine having a 7kg restriction and your bag itself weighs 6kg!
Depending on the job, Jaz switches between her Etoile Collective PRO Artist Trolley Travel Case (3.6kg) and PRO Artist Essential Travel Kit (0.9kg).
Jasmine’s hack? On Bridal days, where the Bride and Bridesmaids have already been in for a trial and know the look they want, Jaz will pack specifically for their pre-agreed looks (plus a few additional options), but leaves behind the bulk of her extra lipstick colours, foundation colours and pigments. This helps cut down her packing time!
When you’re carrying so much around, it can be quite easy to forget where everything is placed. Jaz uses clear cases with a transparent front to help her quickly identify products (also helps a tonne with organisation too)! For Bridal days, Jaz separates her 8 clear cases by:

Need we say more? To ensure your hour of hardcore glamming lives on forever (on your website / socials), make sure to take a reliable light source to give your photos that pop of light! This will also accurately capture the colours of your clients face and removes uneven, harsh shadows.

The design of the ring light creates an even illumination across the face which cleans away any shadows - even those ones under the eyes that make you look tired. The balanced light makes it ideal for makeup application and flawless-looking selfies.
YouTubers often like to shoot their videos next to big windows to allow a pour of natural light to illuminate their subject. The problem there is that you can’t always rely on natural lighting and if you want to shoot at night time or on an overcast day, it’s difficult. Ring lights provide perfect lighting in any scenario and are a good alternative to natural light.
Though originally developed for dental applications, the ring light is now more widely-known for the advantages it offers influencers and photographers, especially in the beauty industry. Its unique features make it ideal for a range of commercial applications, including:
Traditionally, photographers have had to carry an entire kit around with them to get their desired effect. Softboxes and umbrellas are bulky, and a range of different types of equipment is needed to create different looks.
With the ring light, that’s often all you need, since they’re adjustable for brightness and angles. They’re simple to set up - even for beginners - and are light and compact enough to carry around with you.
The Étoile Collective IlluminateMe Luxe LED Ring Light is a salon-grade ring light that adds a new level of professionalism to your images, videos and social media content. Maybe your cosmetics collection is outgrowing your current case and you’re looking for an upgrade? Either way, our guide will ensure you ask all the right questions before finding your new travel and beauty companion, for professionals that want the best makeup case.
This is a no-brainer. We know the Étoile Collective community has a never-ending stash of makeup and when you’re heading to meet a client, carrying it all yourself isn’t feasible. Make sure you buy a case with smooth-running wheels and a pull-up handle for easier transport when you’re running to catch a flight!
Organisation is absolutely vital and a makeup case with just one large compartment won’t cut it. Your makeup will become a jumbled mess and you’ll never be able to find it - let alone the fact that this could damage your expensive products.
Be thorough when you’re researching potential new cases for your collection. Ideally, find one with separate, removable compartments that will allow you to compile “mini” makeup stashes that you can remove and take with you as necessary. If the removable bags or compartments come with clear windows - even better. Knowing exactly where each item is stored will ensure a more streamlined service for your clients and less of a headache for you.
There are heaps of knock-offs and low-quality products out there, so it’s important you do your research before you invest in a new beauty case. Luckily, in the digital age we’re living in, you can find out real reviews about a brand in just a few clicks.
Head to their Facebook reviews and Google reviews to get a balanced perspective of the quality of their products as well as their customer service. At Étoile Collective, we feature reviews from our beautiful customers on each product page, so you can feel confident you’re making the right decision when you buy from us.
Our ever-popular Pro Artist Trolley Travel Case consistently receives 5-star reviews, with customers calling it “PERFECT!”. With other glowing reviews saying “all my makeup fit perfectly, it’s secure and it’s durable” and that it “holds everything and is very light and transferable”, you can rely on this product when you need a superior makeup case.

Is it stylish?
Aesthetics are important, not just because it’s important that you love your case for years, but because it presents a more professional image to your clients. Choose a case with a durable and sleek exterior that will be resistant to scratches, bumps and stains.

]]>With the flexibility of the double arms, it’s now easier than ever to counter out any unwanted shadows, or uneven lighting. If your subject is long or narrow, the flexible arms allow you to cast an illumination to 2 positions.
Weight wise, the ring light is heavier than the head of the Multi-Glow Duo Light. This means that when tilted (for your flat lays or otherwise), there will be an increased chance that your ring light topple over if the tripod legs aren’t set up correctly to support the extra weight.
One of those people whose phone is always dying? Well now you can create content whilst charging your phone with the inbuilt USB port on the Multi-Glow Duo Light.
The Multi-Glow Duo Light is around 10% brighter than a traditional ring light, with similar temperature controls. Too bright? Both lights are fully dimmable if you’re after a stronger / weaker light source.
Does your job require detailed work (particularly over esthetician beds) where a bright and precise light will make all the difference? If yes, the Multi-Glow Duo Light will be your new best assistant that offers an increased professional aesthetic (would you rather wave a straight bar whilst your client is lying down or a huge circle?).
Don't get us wrong - we will always be huge fans of the 18" Ring Light which remains a highly recommended product if you're after a light source that will remain put most of the time. However, if you're seeking something more versatile, flexible and rely on a lighting source, the Multi-Glow Duo Light may be the answer.
Now, let's get glowing babes! If you have any questions or need further help, you may reach us via the live chat on our website. Or shoot us an email: hello@etoilecollective.com.au

]]>It could be time to take steps and reclaim your beauty room. With one simple product (that we can’t live without!), you can keep your makeup beautifully stored in one place. Read on to find out our #1 beauty organiser and some tips for keeping it organised.
Our beauty boxes are flying off our shelves and making their way to your shelves at home - and for good reason! If you only buy one makeup organiser this year, make it this one.
Both our Classic Beauty Box and Ultimate Vanity Glam Beauty Box are loved by beauty enthusiasts and professional makeup artists around the world. Consisting of cute, handy drawers, these boxes are made of transparent, durable acrylic for long-lasting use and perfect visibility.
Our tiered boxes are topped off with stylish crystal knobs for a touch of flair in your beauty room. Fitting all different kinds of makeup - think everything from large palettes, to lipsticks, foundations, lotions and more - you won’t believe the vast storage space these boxes afford!
For more information about how Australia’s most glamorous beauty box is set to be your saviour when it comes to cosmetics storage and organisation, check out this video.
Are you brave enough to get a little ruthless when it comes to your makeup collection? You’ll never get truly organised if you’re clinging onto expired makeup. Not only is it bad for your skin, it’s taking up valuable space in your bathroom, bedroom or vanity room.
To keep on top of your products, make a note of the date you bought something, whether that’s using a marker pen on the product itself or on a printed sheet. Stop clinging on to old eyeshadow palettes you don’t use anymore but get you feeling nostalgic! Instead, make space in your beauty box for the items you’re currently obsessing over.
Some beauty fanatics in our Étoile Collective community like to organise their products by brand, which is understandable, especially when packaging from brands like Benefit is just built to be collectible! We find that makeup application is easier when we group our cosmetics by type, which is exactly how the beauty boxes are designed. So, you can keep all your powders, your highlighters and your lip glosses together for simpler selection while you’re getting ready.
Now that all your favourite items are safely grouped together, it’s time to think about where to keep your beauty box. Ideally, you should keep cosmetics away from direct sunlight or heat, which can cause damage and shorten their shelf life.
It’s important to protect the colour in pigmented powdered products such as blushes and eyeshadows, and UV rays in the sun can impact the formula, causing colours to fade over time. Similarly, lipsticks that have too much contact with the sun run the risk of melting, so store your beauty box away from windows if possible.
Refresh your cosmetics collection with our best-selling beauty boxes for ultimate makeup storage, however extensive your kit may be!
]]>The truth is, you will need a fairly substantial set of cosmetics to accommodate your clients’ needs, but if you’re smart, you can ensure you’re covering the essentials and are well-prepared to go be creative, build beautiful looks and make an income at the same time.
Check out our tips on building the best starter kit for makeup artists.
Most makeup artists specialise in a particular niche. For example, one that works with models for high-fashion runway shows, carnivals or other performances would need an extensive array of highly-pigmented colours and glitter. An MUA that mostly works at weddings would need more subtle colours with a selection of quality foundation and powder for the perfect tone match for every bride.
Think about where your skills lie and the type of look you enjoy creating, then choose your starter products based on that. Do your research and don’t settle for low-quality products just because you like the price tag - they could wear off quickly and leave you with a string of annoyed clients!
Every client has a different skin tone and their own preference when it comes to eye, lip and cheek shades, so you’ll need to be able to provide the look they love. Opt for palettes rather than individual items, which will provide a bigger range of shades and a better value for money. Urban Decay, NARS and M.A.C all have an awesome range of eyeshadow palettes.
Your beauty case will hold your pride and joy; your cosmetics collection! Étoile Collective has beauty case bundles to suit a range of budgets and stock sizes, that are portable enough to take anywhere and have all the compartments you could wish for - and more!
Our range of PRO makeup artist starter bags has mix-and-match options to choose from, so you can build your own tailored collection of luggage to suit your cosmetics. For the ultimate kickstart for your makeup career, our PRO Artist Starter Kit comes with essential cases for short trips and longer overseas jobs. We’ve even thrown in an 18” LED ring light for times when a client’s lighting isn’t up to scratch!
As a business, you can take advantage of the savings available when you buy wholesale goods. Make sure you’re making a good decision when it comes to buying in bulk as not all deals will save much money. Since makeup generally has a short shelf life, you don’t want to over-buy and have to throw anything away.
Instead, think about buying your disposable products in large quantities. You’ll always need makeup brushes, cotton buds and sponges, so stock up to ensure you don’t run out and grab some great deals.
You’ll find a range of solutions for the budding makeup artist on Étoile Collective, so shop around or get in touch with our team and we can help you curate the perfect starter kit.]]>An organised makeup drawer doesn’t have to be just a dream. Here are some tips and tricks that are sure to make your application so much smoother.
The eco-conscious amongst you might be wondering how you can make better use of objects you’d otherwise throw away. At Étoile Collective, our brains are always ticking away thinking of ways to enhance makeup applications (we can’t help it!), so we found some hacks that merge the two.
You can probably think of heaps more containers that would store your cosmetics beautifully, but here are just a few you can start off with:
Are you in on the secret that just about every makeup artist swears by? If not, listen up, because we’ll share it with you! Furniture such as the MALM table and MICKE desk, available from IKEA, make the perfect base for your cosmetics.
Now, the lesser-known secret is that we’ve created custom-fit makeup organisation kits designed for your MALM and MICKE furniture. Designed to completely fill out the drawers, this is the ultimate way to organise your cosmetics to absolute perfection.
Go check out our video to see how the MALM storage kit works.
To make the best use of space in your drawer, the idea is to utilise every available surface and corner. The inside of each drawer tends to go unnoticed, but we thought of a couple of hacks that will make your life that bit easier:
Start the task of clearing out your makeup drawers now and you won’t be disappointed when you see the difference it makes! Throw away any makeup that’s expired, broken or you just haven’t used for a while, to make space for your favourite products. Browse our selection of drawer inserts, where you’ll find acrylic storage options for all makeup items that fit in just about every drawer.
